Hey guys.

So, The Master of Space and Time (HexiDave) has been supremely gracious and has set aside a server for us to use while we're figuring out a lot of code-side stuff. Many thanks to him. If you see him, give him a friendly TR tap on the butt to show your appreciation.

Anyways, so with that all set up, we need to take some steps forward, but not blindly. We want to gather all the code-people who are interested to help hammer out some sort of a development path so we can take some confident and important steps forward. No use in writing and re-writing everything.

So, some of the people i'd like to hear back from would be HexiDave, denreaper, htt-bird, and ih8censorship. Obviously, those are just the current, somewhat active people that come to mind. But anyone is invited to join in the conversation, or just listen. So yeah, i'd like to see some people post in here, work out a date or two where you can spend some time hammering out the issues that need to be handled. This will save us a ton of time in the future, motivate us to take some steps forward, and give us some sort of a blueprint to go by. So please, offer some thoughts, your interest, ideas, times for meetings, etc...

I appreciate all of your hardwork, and can't wait to get a new and improved server up and running. Hope to hear from you all soon!

Sundays are always good, most nights are good, but I can work in almost any time as long as I know a day or two in advance.

Time is EST for me, so hope that helps.

Time is CST for me. Most nights are good for me , Sunday-Tuesday nights after 9 are the best chance of me not having anything going on. Wenesday I am almost always busy till 11pm or so. this coming week I have nothing going on friday night either.

Is there anything else we can work out in this (or another) thread ?

Sounds good to me, too. I'll be brushing up a bit on the server stuff tomorrow, so maybe I can have an outline ready for discussion. (Don't let that stop you folks from coming up with plans, too.)

Yeah, some sort of plan of discussion would help things along, i'm sure.

I assume everyone is good for the posted time?

Meeting went pretty damn good. Lots of decisions were made and things are being installed on the server to make ready for the coding!

We will be attempting to use SOCI atop PostgreSQL on the DB side, Lua for scripting, and Hg for our VCS. Boost and raknet will continue to be used as well.

If some of these fall short of expectations, we will resort to other options.
